Hello, and thanks for dropping by…

I’m a writer with a long history of humorous/satirical articles and short stories, because I like the look on people’s faces when they laugh and think at the same time.

They all poke fun at sacred cows, trends or attitudes, although I try to make it victimless, despite the plethora of people who richly deserve a roasting. I’m sure you can fill in a few blanks for yourself there.

It’s hoped my words occasionally provoke some thought and questioning (beyond “why is she bothering?”). If all I achieve though, is making people smile and have a brighter day, then that’s okay too. No one has ever suggested there’s too much happiness in the world.

Posting regular articles here helps get stuff out of my system and, hopefully, into other people’s.

I’m also a marriage celebrant, based in Perth, Western Australia, injecting a little cheeky humour into people’s wedding days. After all, everyone has stories. The embarrassing ones are the best.

I’ve finally finished my novel, with the aim of having it published one way or another in 2026, hopefully before my liver throws in the towel from all the liquid inspiration it’s had to process.

Funnily enough, it’s about a group of women who drink a lot of gin and become a cadre of menopause anarchists. It’s hilarious, thought-provoking and relatable to women who are tired of being reasonable.
